1.Tuberculosis
-is a common, and in many cases lethal, infectious diseas caused by various stains of mycobacteria.
Management: treatment of TB uses antibiotics to kill the bacteria.
2.Cancer
-known medically as a malignant neoplasm, is a broad group of diseases involving unregulated cell growth. In cancer, cells divide and grow uncontrollaby, forming malignant tumors, and invading nearby parts of the body.
Management: many management options for cancer exist with the primary ones including surgery, chemotherapy, radiation therapy and palliative care.
3.HIV/AIDS
-is a disease of the human immune system caused by infection with human immunodeficiency virus(HIV).
Management: there is currently no cure or effective HIV vaccine. Treatment consists of high active antiretrovial therapy which slows progression of the diseas.
4.Major depressive disorder
-is a mental disorder characterized by a pervazive and persistent low mood which is accompanied by low self-esteem and by a loss of interest of pleasure in normally enjoyable activites.
Management: the three most common treatment for depression are psychoterapy, medication, and electroconvulsive therapy.
5.Malaria
-is a mosquito-borne infectious diseases of humans and other animals by parasitic protozoans of the genus Plasmodium.
Management: malaria is a treated with antimalarial medications; the ones used on the type and severity of the diseas.
